The Purpose of Flowers

I am a flower

With only one job

To stay still and look pretty.

But my purpose is more than that.

I remind people of their beauty

and gift them confidence and courage

Though I am just a plant

I will listen to you

I will help you

In any way I can

Even if it means you pull me out of the ground

To give to a loved one

Or to give to yourself

Or out of anger or hate

Or whatever reason

I will help you

Because in the end

I will wither away

Like all other flowers

But at least I helped
