Who is Scott Foster?
Scott Foster is an NBA referee that started his officiating career in 1994. He is most well-known for allegedly trying to change the outcome of playoff games, for his own personal profit. For some background information, Tim Donaghy is a former NBA referee that was betting on games that he officiated. This was so he could affect the outcome and win a lot of money from betting on the games. It’s important to know that Foster and Donaghy regularly called each other. It is assumed that Foster could have been an accomplice in Donaghy’s schemes, but it is not known for sure. However, it is pretty clear that Foster, along with Donaghy, were fixing (intentionally changing) games that he had the opportunity to change the outcome in. For example, Tim Donaghy was fixing games so the outcome would be the result that would benefit whatever bets he made.
Who Will Win? (Scott Foster vs. Chris Paul)
Scott Foster and Chris Paul don’t have the best relationship. For those who don’t know, Chris Paul is an NBA player. He plays for the San Antonio Spurs and wears #3. Chris Paul’s most hated official is absolutely Foster for multiple reasons. First, in playoff games that Foster officiates, Chris Paul has three wins and 17 losses. Out of those 20 games, Paul’s teams were favored to win 15 of them. In my opinion, there is no way that Foster has nothing to do with Paul’s results because they are quite abnormal. Also, Chris Paul said in an interview after a game that his relationship with Scott Foster is “personal”. In fact, exactly what he said was this: “We had a situation some years ago, and it’s personal,” He went on to say that, ‘The league knows, everybody knows, and it’s been a meeting and all that. It’s a situation with my son and so, yeah. I’m O.K. with a ref talking, saying whatever, just don’t use a tech to get your point across. I gotta do a better job making sure I stay on the floor for my teammates. But, yeah, that’s that.’”. A piece of information that is crucial to know is that he said that after the game that he got ejected because Foster gave him a consecutive pair of technical fouls.
My Opinion
No. Scott Foster should not be allowed to referee NBA games. He has already proven that he can’t officiate an NBA game without making some biased calls that could affect the outcome of some very important games, such as game sevens in the playoffs. If you understand basketball you would know that some of the games come down to a call from the official. If correct, they can become a hero, if not, they live in infamy. This is what has repeatedly happened to Foster, so therefore, he should not be allowed to officiate.
