Fire

Light
Glow
Illuminate
A spark at first
A sliver of sparkle
Visible against the grinding rocks
In the caveman’s hand.
Flames
In the torches, lamps
Lanterns on the doors.
Cities
In chaos
Burned down
From a single, small matchstick.
Warmth
Radiating
From the circle of blazing light
Sending a pleasant sensation
To the campers and their s’mores.
A fiery ball
Up in the morning
Down in the night
Light
Glow
Illuminate
Fire
