Most of us have heard of the “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” series, but is it really worth getting into? Should you really commit to the books? What’s it even about? Well, we can answer all these questions and more!
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, the first of a three book series is a suspenseful mystery about a girl named Pip who is trying to uncover the truth about a “solved” murder in her hometown Fairview, Connecticut. It was set in stone: Sal Signh had murdered his girlfriend, Andie Bell, and then killed himself. But Pip knew he didn’t. She was determined to uncover the truth and most important of all: prove that Sal Singh is innocent.
In our opinion, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is definitely a must read. The amount of action, mixed with suspense and mystery makes this book hard to put down. In the book, we follow Pip pursuing answers for her senior project, and discovering some of the town’s deepest darkest secrets. Of course, Pip wasn’t alone for this. On her journey, she teamed up with the presumed killer’s older brother, Ravi Singh. Pip sees how he is treated because of Sal, and it motivates her to try to find out what actually happened that night. Even after getting threats from an anonymous person, Pip carried on with her investigation. Pip wanted to get justice for Sal, and figure out who killed Andie. Holly Jackson has a very interesting style with writing, and adds images for the reader. We rate this book 5 stars! This is a great book for young adults, ages 12+.
