The sides of a paper
One love, one alone
One full and one has no hope
The day it is; the day of love they say
But do all feel love on this day?
One feels love, the next feels rejection
A rose here, chocolate there, but nothing lies in the hands
The hands of the one who cares, the one who does all
All around lie admiration; yet none for her
This is the day of love she says
As she slides into the room
Tears of sadness slipping away
A message for every soul
A warm sensation
Wouldn’t be alone in a time of desperation
But one’s emotion is controlled by another
For love is a powerful message for someone like your mother
A person should enjoy the time with an inseparable partner.
Magic in the air
Absolutely no despair
Whilst I see the light
There is too much night.
But while it all might seem to sting,
Love will always bring.
Those faces
Full of light
A beacon of tangible connection pulling us toward one another
An interweaving string of love
A gorgeous tapestry
Yet for others, those strings are broken
What was meant a piece of art – something beautiful, becomes the very thing we never want to see
The pieces never find one another
They are severed
Torn
And bleeding
Something described of love spoken about
Does it really exist in our time?
The time of holding hands and the exchange of words crafted per person,
Yet some remain emotionless… loveless
Love can conquer all,
But “all” is a lie
As the loveless do exist.
A day of butterflies in our stomachs
And a twinkle in our eyes
Love letter written
And read
Roses behind backs
Waiting in anticipation
A day of joy
A day of cheer
A day of love
For people we hold dear
A day of heartbreak
A day of sorrow
Crying alone like there’s no tomorrow
The day of rejection
The day of acceptance
The day of hell
The day of heaven
2 sides
Affection and isolation
Enjoying the company of a partner
Longing the company of a partner
Love is a part of it all
It makes us human
For it can kill you
Rip you apart from the inside
Yet still, it can be the very thing keeping us from taking death’s hand
It can be the very thing ripping us from sanity.
